Location: Taunton, MA

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM OR Monday-Friday 4:30 PM-1:00 AM

THE JOB

The Packaging Technician is responsible for processing and packaging all cultivated cannabis programs as required. This position requires the use of various types of packaging equipment prior experience on which is recommended. Moreover, this position is responsible to maintain the packaging equipment for daily use, including cleaning and general equipment troubleshooting In addition the Packaging Technician needs to have a laser focus on plying their trade with accuracy and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processing and packaging all cultivated cannabis products as required
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to improve and promote product quality
  • Generate accurate packaging labels and conform to requirements regarding verification
  • Follow SOP’s related to safety, compliance, and packaging processes
  • The use of various types of packaging equipment (prior experience on which is recommended)
  • Maintain the packaging equipment for daily use, including cleaning and general equipment troubleshooting
  • Performs routine and safety program checks and preventive maintenance on instruments and devices used in production
  • Complete checks on calibration and operation of trim equipment, bulk packaging equipment; cleaning of rooms and equipment between crops
  • Recognize unsafe conditions and practices and propose corrections to prevent injuries and product loss
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems with machine maintenance including faulty parts
  • Assist peers and new hires in learning about the business and packaging process & equipment to enhance understanding a proficiency
  • Maintain high level of morale and enthusiasm to assist the team in the process and packaging processes
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to accomplish projects independently

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Proficient knowledge of essential computer functions including e-mail and spreadsheets
  • Basic understanding of mechanical packaging equipment
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check as mandated by the Cannabis Control Commission

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in enclosed rooms (labs) for long periods of time
  • Ability to work a fully flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Extensive use of hands, including repetitive movements
