    Brief Summary of Position:

    This is a salaried position for an experienced Laboratory Director who has at least 3-5 years of experience in a cannabis or environmental laboratory. This position is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the laboratory. You must be familiar with multiple analytical techniques, QA/QC, supervisory skills, must have a clean background and prefer you yo be familiar with typical testing regulations within the cannabis industry.

    Detail of Responsibilities

    · Daily responsibilities

    o Supervision of analytical staff

    o Review and reporting of data to clients

    o Responding to clients’ inquiries

    o Troubleshooting/problem-solving of issues as they arrive

    o Ensure safety in all activities

    o Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations

    · Weekly responsibilities

    o Reporting of laboratory performance to executive team

    o Ensure that the laboratory/environmental conditions are appropriate for the testing performed

    o Procure needed supplies/equipment

    · Set/maintain budgetary goals

    · Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM

    · Organizational Information

    o This position reports to the CEO.

    o The following positions report to the laboratory director:

    § Office Manager

    § Chemist(s)


    · Communication Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate, both orally and written, to a wide range of clientele

    · Skills: Needs to be proficient in typical computing software, such as the Microsoft Office Suite, and be able to quickly learn varied instrumentation interfaces

    · Instrumentation Skills: Need experience in one or more of the following:

    o HPLC

    o ICP/MS

    o GC/MS

    o LC/MS/MS

    o HS/GC/FID


    · Must have 3-5 amount of years of experience in a cannabis or environmental laboratory setting with a demonstrated ability to supervise others

    · Must have experience with QA/QC techniques

    · Be able to prosper in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment


    · MS/PhD in Chemistry (preferably Analytical Chemistry)

    o A well-qualified BS candidate may also be considered


    · $75,000-80,000

    o Higher compensation available for exceptional candidates

    · Minimum 2 week’s vacation with additional time for credited service
