The GDM ensures that the dispensary complies with state laws, regulations and local ordinances, manages the daily operations, collaborates with stakeholders and partners to develop and implement strategies that support a results-driven culture and a superior and unique customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership
o Foster a culture of teamwork and camaraderie among staff members to help deliver an upbeat and positive customer experience.
o Excellent oral and written communication skills and assist the District Manager in coordinating the details of daily operations.
o Implement and oversee security, reporting and cash management procedures related to opening and closing of the dispensaries.
o Stay informed and knowledgeable about state and local laws, regulations and industry news.
o Provides solutions to issues (e.g. profit declines, employee conflicts, and loss of business to competitors.
o Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration.
o Ensure a positive work environment, with mutual respect, transparency and open form of communication.

Quality
o Maintain established standards of transaction times, customer satisfaction and compliance.
o Maintain organization, patience, and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
o Maintain up-to-date information concerning all products and strains sold within the dispensary along with industry-wide product trends.
o Utilize customer and staff feedback to readily implement changes to improve customer service.
o Execute dispensary-selling strategies (weekly specials, reward programs, visual displays, traditional and digital marketing).
o Own all customer feedback. Provide customer/patient complaint resolution. If complaint needs to be addressed by another department, follow up until resolved.
o Serve as a liaison within the local community.

o Execute product placement strategy at all points of distribution to optimize sales.
o Recommend future promotions and ways to increase sales trends by understanding the success of previous incentives and promotions.

Staffing & Training
o Support dispensary associates with one-on-one training, current reference materials and course correct to ensure optimum performance to create an environment focused on customer satisfaction, safety, and compliance.
o Ensure all employees have accurate, up-to-date knowledge and materials related to their position.
o Participate in the recruiting, training, development and success of employees.

Compliance
o Ensure dispensary is compliant with all local, state and federal regulations.
o Record all sales and inventory transactions accurately and in accordance with state and local laws and regulations.
o Create employee schedules in compliance with established labor control policies.

Financial & Administrative
o Perform inventory reconciliations on a daily and weekly basis.
o Oversee daily dispensary financials and ensure vendors and contractors are paid in a timely manner.
o Observes levels of inventory and sales metrics to place informed bi-weekly orders of product from our cannabis partners, third party vendors, and supply companies.
o Prepares monthly financial reports for upper management and stakeholders outlining the success and growth of the dispensary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:
o Bachelor’s degree, preferred

Professional Experience:
o 2+ years experience working in a legal cannabis industry
o 5+ years in a retail/customer service management role
o QuickBooks experience, preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
o Ability to stand, sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
o Ability to travel, works evenings, holidays, and weekends, as necessary.

Salary $50,000-$70,000/year
Up to $2,000 in relocation offered!
