Role Overview


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Retail District Manager will report directly to the VP Retail Operations (dotted line to General Manager) responsible for overseeing all retail operations of a team in a specific territory within the state while providing clear direction to deliver financial targets & achieve company initiatives.


Performing regular store walk through & auditing to ensure that all Dispensary staff maintain proper recordkeeping such as patient intake forms, cash handling records chain of custody documents and waste disposal logs.
Observing and participating in patient services on sales floor, including associate productivity and patient engagement.
Executing and maintaining compliance of all local and state regulations within all retail locations.
Maintaining accountability of all team members, in relation to specific job description.
Reviewing weekly schedules to ensure there is proper floor coverage, based on business needs.
Upholding all company policies and procedures.
Interfaces with department heads weekly to discuss inventory management, policy and security updates and other dispensary needs.
Reviews weekly payroll budget, at each location.
Providing Cultivation/Processing team with feedback on inventory levels and sales trends on a weekly basis and ensure the proper products are on retail shelves.
Responsible for approving and processing all Dispensary Manager time-off requests.
Utilization of KPIs/metrics, tools, reports and review cadence to make transparent operating performance, facilitate visibility
Develop operational dashboards to report on performance across all retail locations and share with corporate retail on daily/weekly basis.

Training & Development

Partnering with the Director of Training & Development

Providing training and development to ensure all Dispensary Managers are proficient and training Dispensary Agents to greet with a helpful, pleasant and compassionate attitude; making every interaction a positive experience.
Recruiting, interviewing and hiring all Dispensary Managers.
Provide training for Dispensary Managers on HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
Providing training and development to all Dispensary Managers to ensure proficiency in BioTrack inventory management and point of sale platform.
Participating in weekly conference calls with Dispensary Managers from all locations.
Ensure that all Dispensary Managers are trained and current on product knowledge and proper dosage.
Ensuring that all Dispensary Managers are maintaining current company policies and procedures as well as all state and local laws and regulations.
Performing Dispensary Manager Performance evaluations quarterly.
Performing Dispensary Manager annual performance evaluations.
Executing Dispensary Manager Performance counseling, when needed.
Attend weekly touch bases with Dispensary Managers to discuss short term objectives/action items and long-term strategic goals aligning with corporate retail initiatives.
Reviewing patient educational materials.

Driving Business/Sales

Analyze business performance and develop weekly & quarterly action plans to improve performance where necessary and achieve Revenue, Profit, and Customer/Patient Satisfaction targets
Setting monthly sales goals & stretch goals for each location.
Ensuring the best customer experience.
Reviewing sales and best practices to achieve goals, with Dispensary Managers.
Assessing Dispensary Managers skills to lead the floor, as well as delegate tasks and drive sales.
Coach & develop team members to deliver individual and team targets and objectives
Overseeing and reviewing patient loyalty and retention.
Ensure consistent community & patient outreach program is happening consistently and according to outreach plan rolled down from corporate.
Overseeing patient home delivery program and communicates with Delivery Manager and Director of Security for feedback and protocols. (if applicable)

Basic Qualifications:

· 7+ years of retail experience

Additional Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Strong analytical abilities and track record of data-driven decision making

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, hands-on, high growth entrepreneurial environment

· Demonstrated ability to build and manage a high performing team

· Bachelor’s degree in business preferred

· Ability to track and analyze initiatives and performance to ensure we meet and/or exceed our revenue goals

· Effectively demonstrate analytical skills

· Strong leadership, team member and staff/team development and motivation skills

· Able to travel, as needed, including weekends supporting retail teams

· Excellent presentation skills and strong written and verbal communication skills required

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

· Must pass a 2nd level background check (state mandated)
