Business Valuation Manager

Description

This large regional CPA firm is seeking a Business Valuation/Litigation Support Professional to join its Business Valuation and Litigation Support Group in either the Southeast Florida region or the Southwest Florida region.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business valuation required and holds the CVA, ASA, or ABV valuation credential. Litigation and forensic support experience preferred.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Support Director/Principal with the management and completion of valuation projects to the fullest extent possible,

including project set-up, analyzing financial data, industry research, analysis of market data, identification of financial statement adjustments, application of valuation methods, and report writing.

Assist with litigation and forensic projects, including family law and commercial litigation cases.

Engage in all forms of discovery related to litigation cases.

Ability to effectively communicate analysis and opinions in written reports and memorandums.

Assist with case management from litigation perspective.

Manage/Participate in Client Communications

Work with team members in other office locations, as needed, to ensure efficient allocation of projects.

Assist with scoping of projects and preparation of engagement letters.

Education

Required – Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field.

Preferred – Masters or better in Business Administration or related field.

Experience

Required – 5 years: Experience in Business Valuation

Preferred – Completion of valuation projects to the fullest extent possible, including project set-up, analyzing financial data, industry research, analysis of market data, identification of financial statement adjustments, application of valuation methods, and report writing

Holds the CVA, ASA or ABV Valuation Credential

Regional Director of Business Valuation

Description:

This large regional CPA firm is seeking a Business Valuation/Litigation Support Professional to join its Business Valuation and Litigation Support Group in either the Southeast Florida region or the Southwest Florida region to oversee the South Florida Region.

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in business valuation required and holds the CFA, CVA, ASA, and/or ABV valuation credential. Litigation and forensic support experience preferred.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Business development and management of valuation and litigation support projects originating out of the South Florida market, including HBK offices located in Sarasota, Fort Myers, Naples, Stuart and West Palm Beach.

Oversee and mentor analysts and managers to ensure timely completion of projects.

Manage office P&L

Develop and support referral sources in region.

Serve as valuation resource for all accounting firm and wealth management team members in the Florida region

Collaborate with other valuation regional directors to grow practice.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field.

Masters or better in Business Administration or related field.

CFA, CVA, ASA, and/or ABV valuation credential

Required: 5 years experience in Business Valuation (8 Years Preferred)

Completion of valuation projects to the fullest extent possible, including project set-up, analyzing financial data, industry research, analysis of market data, identification of financial statement adjustments, application of valuation methods, and report writing

Holds the CVA, ASA or ABV Valuation Credential

Candidates should possess and be able to demonstrate excellent research skills, in addition to excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should be highly analytical and capable of working independently as well as, in a group environment. Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word are required. Minimum undergraduate degree in business, preferably in accounting/finance, but could have an MBA or other advanced degree.
